 Gabriella Goliger will read from Girl Unwrapped, her touching and compelling lesbian coming of age novel set in Montreal in the late 1960s. It will be published this fall (Arsenal Pulp Press). Her first book, Song of Ascent, a collection of linked short stories (Raincoast Books), won the 2001 Upper Canada Writer's Craft Award. She was co-winner of the 1997 Journey Prize for short fiction, a finalist for this prize in 1995, and won the Prism International Award in 1993. Her work has been published in a number of anthologies including Tide Lines: Stories of Change by Lesbians, (1991), Our Lives: Lesbian Personal Writings (1991), Best New American Voices 2000 and Contemporary Jewish Writing in Canada (2004).
